The Chester Fields country pub.
(Disclaimer, I am not sponsored by the Chester Fields and they have not paid for this Blog. This is just my personal experience of the venue).
The ironic thing is that I loved the Chester Fields years before I ever was a wedding Photographer, it is one of my favourite places to eat and they also do proper pizza from a stone oven! My wife and I love this place so much we wanted to get married there ourselves. Unfortunately at the time they did not carry a wedding license (obviously they do now).
Last summer I was very lucky to land a wedding at the Chester Fields pub, I was over the moo! Finally I could get this venue on my portfolio (only once so far, so feel free to book me so I can go again Please!). The weather was beautiful, the staff were amazing, the food was on another level and the venue was dressed perfectly.
(Did I mention the stone baked Pizza?)
As a family we eat here pretty regularly as there is something for us all. I love me 'Pub Grub' and the Chester Fields does this exceptionally well. My kids love the pizza and the fish and chips. My wife prefers more contemporary fine dining and makes a beeline for the specials.
How beautiful are these photos!
Ok, So I feel I am hitting it home about the positives of this venue. So it's only fair that I also give some Constructive Criticism based upon being a customer and a wedding photographer.......
I am sorry to say that,
hand on heart,
I do not have a complaint about this venue.
Cheshire is famous for its country pubs and contemporary menus and the Chester Fields boasts all the above. It is a little small, so if you are planning a 'really' big wedding it may not be for you (I do mean if you want a wedding where you will have hundreds of guests), but that is the charm, its not stuffy or formal yet it still maintains very high standards without being pretentious. I would contact the Chester Fields if you had it on your list, but feel you may have a few too many guests? You would be surprised how many guests they can actually cater for.
There are not many places that can boast such accolades and it is clear the owners have a lot of passion and dedication to what they do.
(Did I mention the stone baked pizza?)

Joking aside.
I rarely recommend a venue based upon my personal and professional experience, but for the Chester Fields I could not mention having been their as a regular Customer as well as a working professional.
All in all I honestly cannot recommend this venue enough and I have worked over a hundred weddings and worked at many of the top venue's across Chester and Cheshire. It is also on stunning grounds so I was spoilt for choice when it came to shooting portraits with my clients.
The Chester Fields is such a Great venue for a wedding, I cannot recommend it highly enough. There is a reason they are amongst my top recommendations as a wedding venue. I would have got married there, my family eat there and I have worked a wedding there as well.
Just look at these next photos, visual story telling is far more effective than words......
